about
Main Line Early Music offers concerts with the best of Philadelphia's early music ensembles in a beautiful and peaceful setting, Main Line Unitarian Church. The series is focused exclusively on historically informed performance ensembles from the Philadelphia area including: The Franklin Quartet, La Bernardinia, The Publick Pleasure, Duo Silvio, and The Sylvan Consort among others. Originally founded and organized by Matthew Glandorf at Church of the Good Shepherd Rosemont, we have grown our audiences and our concert offerings. This season we have a new home at Main Line Unitarian Church. The modern, bright, and welcoming sanctuary has a clean, crisp acoustic and a peaceful backdrop of trees and nature. Parking is available onsite. We welcome you to our 2025 - 2026 season of eight concerts - from rarely heard Swedish string quartet repertoire, to early American concert life, to newly commissioned works for viols and voice, we hope you will join us for a spectacular year of music! Everyone is welcomed.
